The team of the HERO OF UKRAINE Charitable Foundation and the public organization “Association of ATO Participants and Disabled Persons” with the support of the Ukrainian Veterans’ Fund developed the comic book “My dad returned from the war”.
The comic is created to better understand the emotional state and relationships between family members, which are tangential to the war due to the presence of the father there, how to resolve conflicts in the family and many other important things that are adaptable to the vulnerability of children. The guide also contains tips on how to find a common language with a veteran.
The comic itself is based on the life experiences of veterans and their families, who shared their stories and advice on building relationships with the authors.
It tells the story that begins in the conditions of hostilities and continues after the return of the father from the hospital (he was commissated for his wound). Difficult situations in which there are difficulties in communication between civilians and combatants. How to overcome it, how to support a veteran and give him new strength and meaning, read in our comic.
With its help, children can find out what emotions their father/mother experienced after the injury and the war, as well as complete interesting tasks, the winners will receive unique gifts.
The comic “My dad returned from the war” was created for families of veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, primarily children and wives of veterans.
The conditions for obtaining a comic book are:
- The child’s father is a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, or an active military man
- The child’s representative filled out the registration form to receive a free copy of the comic book
- After completing the online quest – receiving exclusive gifts
- To receive a comic book, you need to register on the project website https://book.heroesukraine.org/
At the end of July 2023, we will send it by courier service to the address you indicated. Receiving the comic is completely free (including postal services, the sender pays).
