During November 2023, the “Evil Birds” shock unmanned aerial vehicle unit successfully performed combat missions on the front line with the self-developed “Backfire” drone. As of November 30, 2023, the unit’s pilots made more than 30 successful combat sorties. Among the significant results of the work are the destruction of enemy personnel, artillery, anti-aircraft and electronic defense equipment, repair bases, trucks and cars, etc.
The engineering-production part of the team continued work on improving the efficiency of unmanned systems. Improved: resistance to the effects of enemy EW and PEP, accuracy of hitting, flight range, payload, etc.
Thanks to the support of our donors, sponsors and benefactors, during this period the following was spent:
- Purchase of components and materials for the production of the “Backfire” UAV (propeller APC 19×10; charger and power supply for it; SanDisk memory card + SD adapter; fiberglass; epoxy resin and hardener for epoxy resin; carbon tubes 28*26, 12*10, 10*8; magnetometer module RM3100; heated air speed sensor CUAV SKYE Airspeed Sensor; basalt and carbon fabrics) – UAH 563,753.10
General needs of the unit (3D printing consumables, portable soldering iron, wire marking printer, tape and filament for 3D printing) – UAH 7,938.50 - Purchase of equipment and components for the FPV laboratory (Beelink Mini S12 computer, linear electric drive, …) – UAH 264,559.52
- Wages for administrative, engineering and production staff – UAH 458,566.64
- Compensation for fuel and lubricants for the performance of combat tasks, organization of flights and personnel movement, repair and maintenance of motor transport – UAH 195,944.26
