Our priority is to support innovation in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In particular, we are focusing on the development of strike UAVs, which provide the military with effective combat capabilities, security, and strategic advantage on the battlefield.
We believe that the advanced technologies and tactics for their application will bring victory in the war and further defense capabilities to Ukraine. The lives of soldiers are of the utmost value, so the effectiveness of unmanned systems must be one of the key areas of focus.
That is why the Hero of Ukraine Charitable Foundation actively promotes the development and implementation of leading UAV solutions in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
One of our significant projects is our work with the irds of Fury UAV Task Force. This is an experimental combat unit that destroys enemies using a special unmanned complex called Backfire.
It is one of the most powerful unmanned bomber aircraft, capable of carrying a significant payload of up to 9 kg on a route of up to 200 km.
Together with the squad, we have come a long way, helping the team of military and civilian engineers from the very first steps in developing this system. From the first clumsy models and failed attempts to robust operational aircraft that successfully struck enemy targets deep behind enemy lines.
And now it has become a perfect modern drone, the pride of the team and the nightmare of the enemy army. More and more UAF units are adopting the Backfire, following the tactics developed by the Birds of Fury squad. Therefore, our efforts to spread the best high-tech practices are bearing fruit.
During this time, we held many fundraisers for the Birds of Fury, financing the unit’s combat operations, purchasing new and repairing existing UAVs. We held fundraisers for new vehicles, because the guys and girls in the unit need special transport — minivans that can carry large aircraft on combat missions.
